Mark Senda

Mark W. Senda has spent his entire professional career building successful technology companies. Most recently as President and CEO, of St. Louis based Xspedius Communications LLC, a competitive communications company operating in 20 states, with revenues in excess of $220m.

Prior to Xspedius, Mr. Senda was Division President for AT&T Canada, where he ran AT&T’s fastest growing business unit, local services. AT&T Canada was the successor to MetroNet Communications where Mr. Senda was Chief Operating Officer for Canada’s first national competitive communications company.

Prior to his work in Canada, he was an early implementer and operator of competitive local access and exchange networks throughout the United States. First, with MFS Communications, serving as their Senior Vice President of Network Services and later, with Brooks Fiber Properties as their Senior Vice President of Operations & Engineering. Mr. Senda also spent nine years with MCI Communications Corp. in various management roles dating back to the divestiture of the Bell Companies. During this time, he was a key team member responsible for deploying MCI´s enhanced messaging systems and services worldwide.

In addition to his professional works Mr. Senda has been a mentor and financial sponsor to several technology start-ups in both the US and Canada. He currently is a member of the board of directors of Atreus Systems, Inc. a leading IP based software company with headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.

Mr. Senda has been a key contributor and leader in the competitive communications industry over the past two decades in North America. He has had an uncanny ability to stay in front of the trends emerging in the rapidly changing communications services sector during a period of pre and post deregulation.

Mr. Senda earned a BS degree in Business from The University of the State of New York and an MS in Telecommunications Policy from The George Washington University.
