Client Responsibilities
The
TEC staff and volunteers function as advisors to client companies with the
aim of helping our clients to be successful.
Clients and Affiliates are free to accept or reject the advice given.
In return, TEC requires its clients and affiliates to:
- Operate their business in a legal and ethical manner, including
company formation and protection of intellectual property via
patents, trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks or otherwise,
- Establish an appropriate accounting and bookkeeping system and
report financial data to TEC when asked,
- Execute a 3-year occupancy lease, if applicable,
- Pay all TEC and supplier invoices promptly,
- Cooperate fully with TEC in any legal or financial filing obligations
that TEC may be required to do as a not for profit enterprise,
in relation to its financial supporters, or in any other matter,
- Provide written updates on sales and operations,
- Provide any other periodic progress reporting that the TEC staff
and/or Evaluation Committee may deem appropriate,
- And participate in TEC programs that are created to serve client
companies and assist clients in improving their businesses or
improving the services provided by TEC. These programs will include
some or all of the following as well as others, as TEC determines
that there is a need:
• Advisory Board
• Management Team Building
• CEO Meeting
• Management Training Seminars.
